Hi there and welcome!  I am the Owner, and Therapist at The Therapy Place.  I specialize in treating those affected by infertility distress, grief/ loss associated with miscarriage/ stillbirth, fetal reduction, abortion, termination for medical reasons, as well as infant death.  I also help individuals heal from birth trauma, maternal near death experience (maternal near miss,) breastfeeding trauma, postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, as well as sex and relationship issues.  In addition, I offer Intended Parent Consultations to those looking to grow their family with the help of donated gametes, or embryos.  

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over a decade's worth of experience in the field. I completed my Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University in Family & Human Development.  I received my Graduate degree from St. Mary's University of Minnesota in Marriage & Family Therapy.  I have completed the Internationally renowned Covington & Hafkin Post Graduate Fertility Counseling training with leaders in the field, Sharon Covington and Linda Applegarth.  I have completed further specialized training through the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, or ASRM.  I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health through (PSI) or Postpartum Support International.  I am also a Volunteer Support Navigator for PSI providing support & resources throughout the state of Arizona for help seekers in need.  In addition, I have completed the Sex Therapy Certification Training Program through the Council for Relationships in Philadelphia. I have further completed advanced training in evidenced based, humanistic approach for couples known as Emotion Focused Therapy, or EFT.  I am also Gottman Level I & II trained in treating couples using research based techniques. I also have an extensive background in treating trauma and approach therapy with a trauma informed lens.  I have completed training in the popular and wildly effective trauma therapy EMDR.

I was born and raised in Arizona, but have also had the wonderful opportunity to live in the Midwest as well as the Pacific Northwest. I loved my time there.  I am also a Mama to a wild 8 year old boy, as well as my forever angel baby girl born sleeping.  I enjoy spending time with family, my fur baby and going on adventures in my down time.
